Big Bot Bash '26

Introducing, from the marvelously sarcastic, self-deprecating, possibly insane and incredibly talented Bill Making Stuff You Tube channel, we bring you BIG BOT BASH '26 .

The Big Bot Bash is a scratch building competition, where numerous crafting you tubers compete to make robots from kit bashing, repurposing trash and ridiculous volumes of hot glue. The Big Bot Bash is running through March so you'll see lots of you tube videos over the next few weeks for inspiration. Bill's stuff is also available at The Gutterlands.

We shall be taking the same approach and using the same idea to run our first scratch build challenge at our 2 Day Summer GAUNTLET event, on 11th and 12th July!

Simply take a d20, roll it 5 times, look up the results in the table below and use those as instructions for the look and construction of your 'bot.

Construct your bot from anything you like, paint it and bring it along to our summer event where attendees shall vote for the winner. This will run alongside our usual Open and Pro Painting competitions - more details of which will be announced shortly. There are a few rules.

  1. No 3D printing.

  2. Bot must fit within a 9" cube.

  3. Submit a photograph of your unpainted model.

  4. Open to anyone. Must have a ticket to at least one day of GAUNTLET.

  5. No Bot is a Bad Bot.

You will be competing for bragging rights and perhaps a suitably scratch built and worthless trophy.
