Heat Warning - Hot hot hot!

Dear Members, It was rather hot up stairs on Wednesday Night and tonight is likely to be even hotter. We won't be closing upstairs as such, the rooms remain available for gaming. We are asking people to be mindful of the current Amber Heat Alert, your own tolerance for heat and to watch out for fellow club mates. The up stairs can get very stagnant and hot when there is no breeze out side even with the windows open. There are two small fans in room 4 and one in room 1 that can help. However if the blinds have been left up all day the walls and floor in the room 2 and 4 will have gotten hot and will take a while to cool down. So we ask anyone with health concerns to consider gaming down stairs. We ask everyone to keep hydrated and be watchful for others. If you see anyone flagging then please let us of the DoC staff know. With possible increased demand for gaming down stairs, please be courteous and respectful when setting up tables and spacings. The fire doors in the hall can be opened and we will do our best to ensure air flow. Any one who finds them self thirsty or suffering there is always cold tap water available in the cafe for free as well as the usual purchasable bottled water and cold drinks from the cafe fridge.
