Our Small ongoing steps to improve our storage.

Recent volunteers have helped sort the blue bins so that they each bin now holds similar items, and the fronts of the bins have been cleaned ready for re-labelling.

One of the observed issues is that members have been gathering various terrain items into one blue bin, carrying it to tables to use. Then at the end of the night returning the blue bin and hanging it on the wall without replacing items in the correct bins.

To counter this and reduce the issues of blue bins falling when not correctly hung, we shall soon be securing the blue bins permanently to the wall. We have provided collapsible shopping baskets for members to use to pick their required terrain from the bins, fill the basket and use that to carry it to their table. Returning the basket and all items to the correct bins at the end of the night.

With the handles, the baskets also pose less of a fall risk on stairs as they can be carried one handed leaving the other hand free.
