Membership Renewal

Our membership process was set up two years ago and we now have 167 members and a further 62 pending members. We are committed to making membership mean more, and as a part of this objective we are improving our membership processes and, now that we have a new logo, issuing spangly new membership cards.
Membership provides the following benefits.
voting on how the club is run
reduced fees at club events
member only web pages
club branded merchandise
members only events and competitions
a sense of superiority over non-members #
8% improved dice rolls #
We are committed to adding to this list in time.
Renewing Existing Members
Membership will be renewed on a rolling basis for members based on their membership start date. This spreads the work load of updating everyone over the year, but means some of you may have a while to wait until your membership expires.
The first renewals will begin in May 2026.
Members will receive an email from the club to their registered email address shortly before your membership is due to run out. Please make sure this doesn’t go to spam; it will be sent from northwalestabletop@gmail.com .
You can check or change your email address online from our website by going to your profile page.
Once you have been notified by email, come and see Alan, Luke or Mat in person within 4 weeks and they will update your records and issue you with a spangly card. You will retain your existing membership number.
Non Renewal
If, when your membership comes up for renewal, you take no action, then your membership shall lapse, and you will lose member benefits. If your membership has lapsed for over 12 months, then your details will be deleted from our records.
You are, of course, welcome to re-apply to be a member at any time.
You do not have to be a member to continue attending the club and making use of our tables and other assets.
New Members
We have a constant stream of new attendees at the club that may wish to become members. Also, we have 62 pending members who have signed up on the website but have not come forward to complete the process.
If you have signed up on the website, but not yet been given a card number by Alan or Luke, then you are not a member.
If you are new, or are a pending member, please come forward to Alan, Luke or Mat from May onwards, and they will register you and issue you with one of the new cards directly.
Why are the cards Spangly?
We are attempting to future-proof some of our activities. The cards we are providing have a small chip in them just like a credit card (because I'm not allowed to chip the back of member’s necks [Alan].)
We are able to program these cards to hold various details that will help us to manage the club, and offer future membership benefits.
Initially these cards will hold:
Club Number
Membership Renewal Date.
There is no personal data held on the card.
We shall be able to scan the cards on a mobile phone using the same technology that we use to take 90%+ of our weekly fee payments. The cards will, naturally, also be emblazoned with the sexy new logo.
In future we hope to use these cards to do things like membership competitions and store membership rewards and freebies. It will take all year to roll through updating everyone, so we really are looking to the future here.
